Studio Sunday: A Name tag for my Dog!

After a beautiful hike through the Saguaro National Monument and a rummage through the miscellany at the Tohono O'Odham swap meet - refreshed and inspired, I spent several hours tinkering, making and manifesting some ideas I had been pondering over the week. To commemorate naming our handsome puppy Kino (finally, after having him for a month!), I made him a name tag - sterling silver (recycled of course) and turquoise. In the southwestern style I used granulation for the paws and oxidised highlights to contrast with the the high polish of the sterling. He just loves his new jewelry!!

Two Microcosm rings, size 6 3/4 and 5 1/2  - soon to be added to the catalog in the online store at www.leanderdambrosia.com

Four Microcosm pieces, a turquoise and sterling piece that looks like it jumped right out of one of my paintings and a new oxidised, sterling ring that I want to develop further into a series. I have more like these at www.leanderdambrosia.com
